Where we are

You may not know that Isola Sarda was the first website in Sardinia, to host a geographic system (1999). It has been renovated for you, creating the Geo-portale of Isola Sarda, based on well-known “Google Maps”. You can “fly” to the places named in this site, using the road maps as a base, or the satellite photographs of great detail, (one can even see the bushes). You can even choose a destination and have a route prepared to study your excursions. Happy Travelling!

Sardinia is connected to the mainland of Italy by air and sea. Rome and Milan offer the best services, but there are daily connections also with Bologna, Verona, Naples, Turin and Venice. Ferries reach the ports of Civitavecchia, Genoa and Livorno. Some European cities provide direct flights to Sardinia from London, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Berlin, Munich, Paris, Madrid and Barcellona.

Poggio dei Pini is 19 kms South-West of Cagliari (itinerary map). Elmas, the airport of Cagliari is 25 kms away (itinerary map) and the centre of Pula is 19 kms further South (itinerary map). The most suitable means of travel in this area is the automobile, however there is a bus service (which stops 150 mts from the villa) connecting Poggio dei Pini with Cagliari, Capoterra, the Maddalena Beach, and in the Summer months, the tourist locality of Nora (Pula).

By clicking on the photo at the side, you can see the position of the villa in the panoramic context of the village, which is found in a high zone at the foot of woods and the uninhabited mountains of the Parkland of Sulcis. The well-planned urbanistic design with the houses built in harmony with the large Green-belt areas, makes Poggio dei Pini a place where the residents can enjoy a strong relationship with Nature, without renouncing the services of a modern town centre.
